Did you ever get so mad at a supplier that you threatened to “drive down there” and give them a piece of your mind?

Of course with today’s global economy, there aren’t many opportunities to drive anywhere when it comes to suppliers. The products we deal with are manufactured all over the world, particularly the Pacific Rim. Like everywhere else in the world, there are good and bad suppliers in these faraway places.

So what can we do? Simple: treat the off-shore suppliers the same way we treat those from the U.S. In other words, have good relationships with the good vendors. Work with people who deliver a quality product in a timely fashion.

And how can you know who falls into this category? By working with us. We know who does what best – no matter where it’s being done. We’ve been doing global sourcing for years, so now it’s become second-nature for us.

The global suppliers we deal with are pretty darn good, too. In fact, we’ve never once wanted to get in the car, go for a drive and give them a piece of our mind.
